The littlest things in the world almost always carry the most power.
And this weekend, I really want you to consider what you're about to read...
Are you aware that you can change your mood, emotions or even your LIFE with just one sentence? Not only is this 'brain chemistry' scientific fact, but I can also explain it to you practicality. Understand this... Your current life and body is a direct result of the thoughts and self-talk you have swirling in your hand at this very moment.
Don't believe me? Try this exercise, right now:
Statement #1 = I will have the perfect body of my dreams in 12 weeks from now
Statement #2 = I am incredibly lean and my body fat percentage is ideal
Ponder those Statements one at a time.
Then, objectively and without conscious reflection, write down exactly what thoughts come to your brain the second you're finished reading each statement.
What did you write? Moreover, how did each statement make you feel and how did your initial thought pattern make you feel? Whatever you wrote down and emoted... THAT is your current self-talk. And precisely why you likely aren't where you want to be at this very moment. Self-talk is habitual, persistent and almost always something we don't even notice. Yet it affects your life in the most incredible (often negative) ways. But, the possibility and method to 'fix' the situation is staggeringly profound and incredibly simple... Although not necessarily easy. It requires diligence and observation; to what you're saying in your head and how you're feeling about certain situations.
Now, that doesn't mean you have to itemize and coordinate each and every thought you ever have flowing through your brain and, quite frankly, I would rather you just become proactive with this exercise instead.
I do want you to pay attention more closely than you have been.
Get a real flavor for what your current self-talk is.
Understand what aspects Your life (diet, exercise, excuses, etc.) are what you say to yourself every day affected. But the active part of something that I really want to try. First, evaluate your goals - and be specific. Want to lose weight? How much? Look in your old pair of skinny jeans? Want to be visible abs? Whatever you 'want', a positive vision of it and ready to be repeated several times a day.
"I'm from £ 125solid muscle"
"My skinny jeans slide on easy and fit perfectly"
"My abs look great with no shirt"
Say it.
Often.
To yourself.
Inside your head.
Proactively repeat your sentence to yourself every day; constantly. Brain chemistry is an amazing thing. What has been done, can always be undone. What your brain has forged as a reality can be re-created into a new reality. And goal attainment ALWAYS starts inside your head.
This isn't about 'believing' your goals are real; this is about making your brain start to re-script its current patterns to 'see' them as real.
