As you sit and plan your summer holidays, there are literally just over two hundred countries from which you can choose. So why might you chose France as the country which you decide to visit this summer for your one or two weeks vacation. Below we discuss 10 reasons why you might choose to holiday in France this summer.

1. The French countryside - The French countryside is incredibly scenic and areas such as Les Trois Vallees (known in English as the Three Valleys). France is a relatively large country and it has an abundance of striking countryside and coastline.

2. French Food - French food may perhaps not be to everyone's liking but many people do love the unique taste and style. French food is quite distinctive and if you are interested in cuisine, France can be a good country to visit.

3. Climate - In the summer time, it gets hot but not too hot. You can sunbathe without problem in the main summer months, with temperatures around 28 - 30 Celsius. Generally though, it does not get so hot as places such as in Southern Italy and parts of Greece and Portugal.

4. Coast - France has a stunning coastline, particularly on the South of the country, including the area popularly known as the French Riviera, which includes Nice, Cannes and St.Tropez.

5. France is a great country for enjoying fully natural holidays, with France a country where family naturism and naturism resorts are common-place. French people often Embrace the naturist lifestyle.

6. Attractions - There are some wonderful attractions that you find interesting, especially in cities like Paris. View the Mona Lisa, visit the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, for example. You can spend weeks alone in Paris.
